Do you have Royal Wedding Fever yet?  This is the biggest thing since Lady Di became Princess Di!  And, honestly, a fairy tale royal wedding comes around about as often as Hailey's Comet so it's fun to get trending info from Yahoo about Prince William and Kate Middleton:

Kate Middleton Receives More Searches Than Barack Obama, Lady Gaga and Other Celebrities and Politicians This Week, According to Yahoo!

Plus, Watch the Royal Wedding Live on Yahoo!

SUNNYVALE, CA (April 27, 2011) – Americans are eagerly awaiting the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and interest in the future Princess is at an all-time high. According to searches on Yahoo!, “Kate Middleton” is still the top searched royal wedding-related term on Yahoo!. In both the U.S. and the UK, she receives more than double the searches Prince William receives. She is more searched in the U.S. than in the U.K, and she is sparking more interest than President Obama, Donald Trump, David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and other celebrities.  

Another lady sparking Americans’ interest: Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry’s date to the royal wedding. In the U.S. this week, searches for “Chelsy Davy” have surpassed searches for Prince William on Yahoo!.

·         In the U.S.  this week Kate Middleton is receiving more searches than:

Did You know: Some Online Easter Trends

The folks at Yahoo! sent me these fun facts about trending topics connected to Easter (which is this coming Sunday, FYI--no need to search for the date if you're reading this). 

Easter is just around the corner and consumers are still trying to figure out “What day is Easter” spiking at 36% this week on Yahoo! As this holiday symbolizes many things we are using it as an excuse to celebrate our favorite spring and Easter candies; teenage girls love jellybeans with searches off the charts with 91% from females and according to Yahoo! searches for “Easter cakes” are spiking 181% this week.

Here are some other trending items around Easter…

Easter/Passover:
·         It seems some folks associate Easter with sweets. In addition to “easter egg hunts” (up 342% this week), searches for “easter cakes” are spiking 181% this week on Yahoo!
o   Searches for “easter candy are up 100% this week
o   “Easter cupcakes” searches are up 50%
·         Easter always falls on a Sunday, but searches for “What day is easter” are spiking 36% this week on Yahoo!
·         Searches for the “easter bunny” have been spiking since the first week of February. According to Yahoo!, there are 5.18 times more searches for “Easter bunny” from girls under 13 than from boys the same age range.
·         Searches for “what is Passover” are spiking 382% this week on Yahoo! and 61% of searches are by women.
