Tropical Traditions offers many quality Natural products. Mostly known for their Virgin Coconut Oil, they also offer grass-fed & cage free meat products, a wide variety of Organic Products; including: supplements, skin-care, household cleaners as well as YUMMY FOOD.I chose the shredded coconut because there are always those recipes that I want to try but never have the coconut to do it. SO I GOT IT!

I was so excited to see this large 1 gal bucket holding my coconut. I tried many recipes; new & old, creating what I could with this shredded coconut. The texture was nice, the taste was light & simple…as if I could taste that it WAS organic & didn’t have any preservatives.
I made some of the various recipes I’ve collected over the years: coconut crusted chicken, coconut crispy, sweet coconut popcorn, sweetened coconut & pecan salad. Oh they were all divine!
RECIPES
Coconut Crispy
1) combine 2 cups shredded coconut with 1 cup brown sugar & 1 cube melted butter. Mix well.
2) spread onto 9x13 pan & bake @375 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Sweetened Coconut & Pecan Salad
1)Bake halved pecans till brown
2)Bake shredded coconut with brown sugar till lightly golden.
3)Combine spinach or green leaf lettuce with red grapes, nuts & top with feta cheese & toasted coconut.
4) Use a balsamic vinegar dressing or red wine vinegarette.
Sweet Coconut Popcorn
1)Pop popcorn using air popper
2)Top with Olive Oil
3)Shake toasted coconut with brown sugar over popcorn...HMMM YUM
Coconut Crusted Chicken
1)Mix Shredded coconut with Panko Bread Crumbs
2)Dip Raw Chicken Meat in whisked eggs & then into coconut/bread crumb mix
3)Bake @ 375 for 30-40 minutes.
